Terms of Service

By creating a Kuza account or using any part of the Kuza platform ("Kuza", "we", "us"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use Kuza. Kuza is operated in connection with the PAH Kenya agricultural resilience initiative for Kenyan farmers, groups, businesses, experts and institutions, and is also accessible to users outside Kenya.

Kuza supports Individuals, Businesses, Community Groups, Educational Institutions, Agronomists/Experts and Other user types. You must provide accurate information when registering, and you are responsible for activity under your account. Accounts for organisations must be created by someone authorised to represent that organisation.

Newly created profiles start as pending verification. Kuza administrators may approve, reject, request changes to, suspend, or restore a profile. Verification status affects visibility as a community profile but does not itself constitute a legal, financial or professional certification.

You retain ownership of content you submit (resources, posts, discussions, comments, market listings). By submitting content, you grant Kuza a licence to host, display and distribute it within the platform. You are responsible for ensuring your content is lawful, accurate to the best of your knowledge, and does not infringe others' rights. Kuza may moderate, hide, or remove content that violates these Terms or applicable law, and may suspend accounts that repeatedly do so.

Kuza AI provides agricultural and climate guidance for informational purposes only. It does not fabricate weather, soil, market or agronomic data, and will say when data is unavailable rather than guessing. AI guidance is advisory and must not be treated as a substitute for professional agronomic, veterinary, financial or legal advice. Confirm pesticide, veterinary and financial decisions with a qualified local professional before acting on them.

The Kuza Farm Score is an internal, advisory indicator derived from your recorded activity on the platform (farm records, verification status, community and AI engagement). It is not a regulated credit score, not a credit reference bureau report, and is not shared by Kuza with any lender or financial institution. It is provided for your own reference and to optionally show to a third party at your discretion. A lender's decision to extend credit remains entirely at that lender's discretion and is not guaranteed, influenced, or endorsed by Kuza.

Market Linkages is a directory feature for browsing and posting listings of produce, inputs, buyers and sellers. Kuza is not a party to, and does not process, any transaction, payment, or delivery arising from a listing. Kuza does not verify listing accuracy, pricing, or the identity or creditworthiness of any party, and is not liable for disputes between users arising from a listing. Exercise the same caution you would with any classified listing.

Be respectful. Do not post spam, harassment, misinformation, or content that is unlawful in Kenya or in the jurisdiction from which you access Kuza. Report content you believe violates these Terms using the in-app report feature; our moderators review reports and may hide, remove, or restrict content or accounts as a result.

Our collection and use of personal data is described in the Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

You may stop using Kuza at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, applicable law, or that we reasonably believe pose a risk to other users or the platform.

Kuza is provided "as is". Weather, soil, market and agronomic information is provided on a best-efforts basis from the sources we integrate and may be incomplete or delayed. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Kuza is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses arising from use of the platform, including agricultural or financial outcomes.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Kenya. Any dispute arising from these Terms will first be addressed through good-faith negotiation, and failing that, through the courts of Kenya with jurisdiction over the matter.
