Cookie Policy
Last updated: 9 September 2026
Kuza uses browser local storage rather than traditional third-party tracking cookies for its core functionality. This policy lists exactly what is stored today, and what categories may be added in the future so you know what to expect.
Essential storage (always active)
These are required for Kuza to function and cannot be switched off without breaking core features such as staying signed in.
| Name | Purpose | Type | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| sb-*-auth-token | Keeps you signed in to your Kuza account. | Local storage (essential) | Until you sign out or it expires |
| kuza.lang | Remembers your English/Kiswahili language choice. | Local storage (essential) | Until changed |
| kuza.cookie-consent | Remembers your choice on this cookie banner. | Local storage (essential) | Until changed |
Analytics (not yet active)
Kuza does not currently use third-party analytics cookies. A future product analytics tool may be added to help us understand feature usage in aggregate; if so, this policy will be updated first and you will be able to opt out of that category from the cookie banner or your account settings.
Your choices
The cookie banner shown on your first visit lets you accept all storage described here or restrict to essential-only. Because Kuza's current storage is entirely essential, both choices currently behave the same way — the distinction becomes meaningful once a non-essential category (like analytics) is added. You can also clear stored data at any time through your browser's site settings, though this will sign you out and reset your language preference.
